Line, carrying weight

CONTOUR is the object of readiness for the fire. It does not simply store, together with the mass of the wood, it continuously redraws its own form.

It is forged from steel from a single plane. Its horizontally asymmetric geometry conveys calmness, while the split ends, bent into different curves, separate two clear functions: one fixes, the other holds naturally.

The structure is visually restrained, yet its stability is unequivocal.

With or without wood, it belongs to the fireplace. It does not organize space through mass, but through its simple lines. Each piece is forged, numbered and marked with the maker’s mark, as part of a limited series.
