acero concept

Forging as a present tense language.

Dániel Ütő

My relationship to fire is early and defining. The workshop is a concentrated space where everything is subordinated to the precision of attention. Craftsmanship is the method of object making.

Hot forming is fundamental to me: form is not born through removal or addition, but through the movement of mass. The metal yields only where and as much as heat opens it, thus form is released from it.

My objects begin from concept. They are shaped by the inner logic of relationships and decisions.

My works are born in reduced form, where use and independent presence reach a natural balance.

The inner logic of professional knowledge and contemporary object thinking equally shape my approach.

Acero Concept begins at the intersection of these. From here I build an autonomous object language in which the contemporary validity of forging is given. It functions as a present-tense medium.
